Scandi-Bushcraft Style

This modern adaptation of an old word classic, made popular by Ray Mears, Ron Medise
and many others, has a low bevel and a flat grind that just begs to be taken out into the field
and worked hard....plus a few design variations I've played with.

"Nordic Grind-PS" Scandi-Bushcraft

This knife is a traditional grind Scandi-Bushcraft knife. Just over 8 1/2" overall of 1080 high carbon steel forged
from 5/32" stock with an approx. 1/4" high bevel, flat spine, edge ground to zero and fully hardened blade.
The knife above is shown with hand-rubbed finish, handle scales with palm/pommel swells in stabilized
Curly Birch wood with black liners and brass handle bolts and lanyard liner. The knife comes with
a tooled leather pouch sheath for neck or belt carry.

Modified Scandi-Bushcraft "Green Dragon"

This Scandi-Bushcraft knife is 8 1/2" forged from JD5160 steel. The blade is modified from the traditional
 pattern as it has a fully ground/tapered blade 4" long blade and a low bevel down the spine. The knife
also has a tapered tang, the thickest part being 1/4" at the ricasso. The handle scales are green
dyed & stabilized Maple Burl wood with stainless steel handle bolts and lanyard liner. The
knife comes with a leather pouch sheath with a "Winged Dragon" carving.

Modified-"Shorty" Scandi-Bushcraft

This Mini-Version is stylized after our Modified S-B. The knife is forged from 1/8" thick 1084 high carbon steel
with a hand-rubbed finish (3" blade- 3 1/2" handle). The handle scales are Desert Ironwood Burl with
green tang liners and stainless steel hand bolts/lanyard liner. The sheath has a pierced belt loop for
a neck cord so it can be worn both ways. The sheath above is shown with a "Kokopelli" carving.

"Nordic Grind" Scandi-Bushcraft

This knife is a true-to-form Scandi-Bushcrafter. Just over 8 1/2" overall of 5160 high carbon spring steel
forged from 5/32" stock with an approx. 1/4" high bevel and fully hardened blade. The knife above is shown
 with hand-rubbed finish, handle scales of stabilized Spalted Maple wood with black liners and brass handle
bolts and lanyard liner. The knife comes with a tooled leather pouch sheath for neck or belt carry.

Scandi-Bushcraft in Damascus-Ironwood

This is our standard 8 1/2" Scandi-Bushcraft design with a 300 layer high carbon "random" damascus
blade, semi-traditional grind. The handle scales are A-grade Desert Ironwood Burl with stainless steel
 handle bolts and lanyard liner. The knife is shown with a full "Dragon" carved pouch sheath.

"Basic Forged" Scandi-Bushcraft

This is our "Basic Forged" style done "cross-over" style with the Scandi-Bushcraft pattern. The 8 1/2" knife
is forged from JD5160 round stock roughly 1/4" thick. The blade has a hand-rubbed finish, file worked
thumb rest and a 3 7/8" cutting edge. The handle is covered with lightly oiled Pig skin and sinew wrap.
Aside from having a stainless steel clip and a fully tooled "basket weaved" face. the sheath is
flat, compact and can hold the knife in either direction (blade edge facing right or left).
