Scandi-Bushcraft Knives by Neilson's Mountain Hollow
This modern adaptation of an old world classic, made popular by Ray Mears, Ron Medise and many others, has a low bevel and a flat grind that just begs to be taken out into the field and worked hard....plus a few design variations I've played with.

This knife is a another true life, hard working Scandi-Bushcrafter. Just over 8 1/2" overall of 1095 high carbon steel forged from 5/32" stock with an approx. 22 degree bevel, a flat spine and fully hardened blade (4 3/4" handle). This knife has my "antiqued" finish on the flats as well as the tang and satin finished bevels. The handle scales are stabilized/multi-green dyed A-grade Maple Burl wood with stainless steel handle bolts and lanyard liner. This knife is a true-to-form Scandi-Bushcrafter. These S-B's are for those who want a "lighter-weight" version of the traditional Scandi-Bushcraft knife. These knives are still 8 1/2" overall with a zero ground edge but, these "feathers" are only 1/8" thick and chisel ground on one side. Once you decide on a "right-or-left-hand" cutter, you'll have a great bush-crafting tool in a lighter version. The knives above are forged from 1084 high carbon steel and fully quenched. The blade has my "antiqued" finish and handle scales of 1/8" Blaze-Orange G-10. The handle bolts and lanyard liner are stainless steel. These knives come with a molded Kydex sheath with a removable/reversible belt loop. This allows the knife to be carried on the right or left side...or remove the belt loop altogether for pocket or (adding a cord/chain) neck carry. This knife is still 8 1/2" overall with a zero ground edge but, these "feathers" are only 1/8" thick. The knife is forged from 1084 high carbon steel and fully quenched. The blade flats have my "antiqued" finish and the bevels are satin finished. The handle scales are "natural" canvas Micarta with handle bolts and lanyard liner of stainless steel. This knife comes with a Kydex sheath with a removable/reversible belt loop. This allows the knife to be carried on the right or left side...or remove the belt loop altogether for pocket or (adding a cord/chain) neck carry. This Mini-Version, I like to call a "Shorty", is stylized after my Nordic grind S-B with it's traditional zero grind, flat spine and fully hardened, of course. The knife is forged from 1/8" thick 1084 high carbon steel with hand-rubbed flats and satin finished bevels (3" blade- 3 1/2" handle). The handle scales are "dark" (a most black) Desert Ironwood Burl and are secured with stainless steel hand bolts/lanyard liner.
