Scandi-Bushcraft Knives by Neilson's Mountain Hollow

This modern adaptation of an old word classic, made popular by Ray Mears, Ron Medise and many others, has a low bevel and a flat grind that just begs to be taken out into the field and worked hard....plus a few design variations I've played with.

Scandi-Bushcraft "Feathers"
Scandi-Bushcraft

These S-B's are for those who want a "lighter-weight" version of the traditional Scandi-Bushcraft knife. These knives are still 8 1/2" overall with a zero ground edge but, these "feathers" are only 1/8" thick and chisel ground on one side. Once you decide on a "right-or-left-hand" cutter, you'll have a great bush-crafting tool in a lighter version. The knives above are forged from 1084 high carbon steel and fully quenched. The blade has my "antiqued" finish and handle scales of 1/8" Blaze-Orange G-10. The handle bolts and lanyard liner are stainless steel. These knives come with a molded Kydex sheath with a removable/reversible belt loop. This allows the knife to be carried on the right or left side...or remove the belt loop altogether for pocket or (adding a cord/chain) neck carry.

Price for similar pieces, with Kydex sheath: $300.00 each.
