Hunting Claws

This is a nice hunting/hard use knife and one of my favorite designs. I wanted to combine the best
properties of a drop point hunter and a bola knife. I was very happy with the results.

Full Tang "Big Claw" in Giraffe Bone

Here is our "Big" Hunting Claw in a full tang version. The 9 3/4" blade of 5160 has a tapered tang and a
hand-rubbed finish (14 1/2" overall length). The blade has a slight convex grind and a bevel on the spine. The
guard is nickle-silver. The handle scales are stabilized Giraffe bone with black liners, stainless steel
handle bolts & lanyard liner. The knife comes with a full "basket-weave" blade sheath.

"Big Claw" Recurve Hunter

Here's another "Big Claw". This recurve hunter/camp knife has a 10" blade of 400 layer damascus. The blade
has a slight convex grind and a shallow top bevel on the spine. The handle is Sambar stag with a throat
of stabilized/green dyed Redwood Burl wood and black/ nickle-silver spacers. The contoured
guard and pommel are also nickle-silver. The tooled leather blade/belt sheath has
three windows inlaid with brown Stingray skin.

Damascus-Stag Hunting Claw

This Claw is forged from 300+ layer high carbon "random" patterned damascus steel. The blade has a
slight convex grind and a deep top bevel on the spine. The contoured guard and pommel are lightly
blued low carbon steel. The handle is Sambar stag with a throat of stabilized/green dyed Maple
Burl wood with green spacers. The knife comes with a tooled, two-tone leather sheath with a
"Dark Mists" carving. The knife is 10" overall with a 4 3/4" cutting edge.

"Big Claw" in Micarta

This Big Claw actually has a slightly smaller blade coming in at 8 1/2" of forged 5160JD steel with a
lightly etched hamon line on a hand-rubbed finish. The guard is nickle-silver and the pins/lanyard
liner are stainless steel. The handle itself is burgundy Micarta with a throat of black Micarta,
copper and black spacers. The knife comes with a plain or tooled leather blade sheath.

"Big Claw" Damascus & Blackwood

This large Hunting Claw has a 10" blade of 425 layer high carbon-nickle damascus. The guard,
spacer and pins are nickle-silver. The handle is African Blackwood with a throat of 3 layer
malachite and black spacers. The 3 window leather sheath has a grey snakeskin inlay.
