Below are some of my favorite "Hunter" style blades. No huge choppers here, just the size you need for
light carry and to get the job done.

Hybrid Hunter in Bacote/Mokume

 This hunter is a combination of a few of my styles, hence the name. The 5 1/6" blade is forged from 1084
high carbon steel with a hand rubbed finish and has a visible hamon/quench line. The two piece guard
is copper/nickle-silver mokume (forged by Phillip Jones) with a black spacer. The handle is
Birds-eye Bacote wood with a stainless steel pin. The knife's overall length is 10 1/16"
and comes with a border tooled leather blade sheath.

Etched Spear Point Hunter

This Spear Point hunter has a 6 1/4" blade forged from W1 high carbon steel with a hand-rubbed finish and
has been acid etched to bring out the hamon/quench line. The guard is bold 1095/nickle damascus. The
handle is stabilized Box Elder Burl wood with a black spacer and stainless steel pin. The knife has an
overall length of 11 1/8" and comes with a fully tooled leather belt sheath.

Clip Point Hunter in Maple Burl

This Clip Point Hunter has a 4 1/8" blade of 5160 high carbon steel with a hand-rubbed finish. The contoured
guard is "wagon wheel" wrought iron. The handle is Maple Burl wood with a throat of black Buffalo horn
(both are stabilized) and finished off with a stainless steel pin. The knife has an overall length of 8 3/8"
and comes with a fully tooled leather pouch sheath.

Spear Point Hunter

 This Spear Point Hunter has a 6 1/2" blade of 5160 spring steel (approx. 1/4" at thickest) with a hand-
rubbed finish. The guard is nickle-silver. The handle is stabilized Curly Koa wood with spacers of
nickle-silver, copper & black. The handle is finished off with a stainless steel pin. The knife
has an overall length of 11 1/2". The knife comes with a leather blade sheath with
"Autumn Leaves" carving.

Adirondack Hunter in Box Elder Burl

This full-tang hunter is forged from 3/16" thick 1084 high carbon steel with an integral guard, thumb drop
and an open pommel. The knife is 8 1/4" overall with a 3 5/8" cutting edge. The knife is edge-quenched
and has been treated with an antiqued/mustard finish. The beveled handle scales are stabilized Box
Elder Burl wood with stainless steel handle bolts. The knife comes with a tooled leather pouch
sheath and belt loop.

Spear Point Hunter in Raindrop Damascus

This Spear Point Hunter has a 5 3/4 blade of 300 layer "raindrop" pattern high carbon damascus steel
(approx. 3/16'' at thickest). The guard is nickle-silver. The handle is stabilized Curly Maple wood
with a throat of African Blackwood and a nickle-silver spacer. The handle is finished off with a
stainless steel pin. The knife has an overall length of 10 3/4". The knife comes with a leather
blade sheath with a double window inlay of Fish-skin.

"The Garrin" Trailing Point Hunter

This Trailing Point hunter has a 6" blade of 385 layer "twist" pattern damascus with a matching
guard and thumb grooves. The handle is stabilized Giraffe bone with black liners and stainless
steel handle bolts and lanyard liner. This knife comes with a tooled leather blade sheath.

Recurve Hunter in Stag & Buckeye

This hunter has an etched, recurved blade forged San Mai style with low carbon 1018 sides and a 52100
core. The handle on this knife is Sambar stag segmented with fullered spacers stabilized California
Buckeye burl wood. The guard and threaded pommel have an antiqued finish with black spacers
and are contoured to the stag. The knife is 10 1/2" overall with a 6" blade and comes with a
tooled leather blade sheath with Ostrich skin inlay.

Spear Point Hunter "Jr."

This Spear Point hunter has a 5" clay-quenched blade forged from 1/4" 1084 high carbon steel stock
with a full distal taper, hand-rubbed finish and distinctive hamon line. The knife is 10" overall. The
contoured guard is cold-blued 1018 carbon steel. The handle is A-grade Cocolola wood with a
throat of African Blackwood, a black spacer and stainless steel pin. The leather pouch
sheath is border tooled with a belt loop.

Straight-Back Hunter in Curly Maple

This Hunter has a 7" clay quenched blade of 1095 high carbon steel with a straight back, top bevel
and a hand-rubbed finish. The guard is nickle-silver and the handle is stabilized A-grade Curly Maple wood
with a red spacer and stainless steel pin. The tooled leather blade sheath has a floral "Vines" carving.

"BFH-1" Basic Forged Hunter #1

This BFH-1 knife is forged from 5160 high carbon steel with a satin finish, forge marked flats and a
file worked thumb rest. The knife is flat ground with a convex edge and is lightly etched. The handle
has a Pig skin wrap with sinew stitching and a Reindeer thong & stag tip as a lanyard fob. The
tooled leather sheath is done in a "basket weave" pattern and has a stainless steel belt clip
for easy carry. The knife is just over 10" with a 4 3/4" cutting edge.
