Drop Point Knives

Here are a variety of drop point blades, some in classic designs and some right out of my
imagination. Like the Bowie knife, drop points are a timeless style and alot of fun to make.

"Mammoth & Box Elder" Drop Point

 This drop point has a 4 3/4" blade of 3-bar composite, high carbon damascus steel. The contoured guard
is nickle-silver. The handle is dyed Box Elder Burl wood with a throat of Mammoth Leg bone (both are
stabilized) and black spacers with a stainless steel pin. This knife comes with a tooled leather blade
sheath in a "Quilt" pattern. The knife's total length is 9 1/4"

"Badger" Drop Point in Ironwood Burl

This belt knife is made of 3/16" thick 1095 high carbon steel with low top bevels and a hand-rubbed finish.
 The blades cutting edge is approx. 3" with an overall length of approx. 7 3/16". The handle scales are
A-grade Desert Ironwood Burl with stainless steel handle bolts. The knife comes with a tooled
leather pouch sheath with a belt loop.

Drop Point "Pocket Knife"

This slender drop point has all the cutting potential of a hunter but, sits comfortably in your pocket for
EDC carry. The 3 11/16" blade is forged from 52100 high carbon steel with an antiqued finish.
The guard is nickle-silver with a black fullered spacer and the handle is stabilized Brown
Ebony with a stainless steel pin. This knife is 8" total length and comes with a tooled
leather pouch sheath with a pocket clip.

"Iron & Stag" Drop Point

This drop point knife has a sharper profile close to a spear point design with a top bevel that cuts down
 the face of the blade but, not far into the thickness allowing for an easier cut without loosing strength.
The blade itself is 4 3/8" of 400+ layer high carbon/wrought iron damascus steel. The guard and
butt-cap are nickle-silver with a handle of Sambar stag and a throat of grade-A Desert Ironwood
 Burl with nickle-silver spacer. The knife has an overall length of  9" and comes with a tooled
leather blade sheath with an Alligator inlay and belt loop.

"Bear" Hunter- Drop Point

This hunter has a 4 1/2" blade forged from 52100 steel with an antiqued finish and a file worked thumb
rest (9 1/2" overall). The contoured guard is etched "wagon wheel" wrought iron. The handle is
Curly Maple with a throat of California Buckeye Burl (both stabilized) with a black spacer
and stainless steel pin. The leather pouch sheath has a full carved, colored Brown Bear
that wraps around the sheath into the belt loop.

Amboyna Drop Point Hunter

This knife has a 6" drop point blade of 608 layer "Thunderhead" high carbon damascus steel, overall.
 The contoured guard is nickle-silver. The handle is stabilized Amboyna Burl wood with a throat
 of Obsidian stone, a black spacer and stainless steel pins. The knife comes with a
 tooled leather blade sheath with a "Striking Eagle" carving.

Drop Point "Pack Hunter"

This small pack/pocket hunter has a 4" blade of high carbon "frontier" damascus steel 3/16" thick with a
top bevel down the entire spine length. The knife has an guard and butt-cap of nickle-silver and a handle
 of Sambar stag with a throat of stabilized/dyed green Maple Burl wood and green spacers. The overall
length of this knife is 8 1/4". The knife comes with a leather "pack/pocket" sheath that has a
Pig-skin overlay on the face and a nickle snap.

"Mountain Primitive" Drop Point

This knife has a 5" blade of 1095 high carbon steel with a fully forged, distal tapered blade. The knife is
 9 1/2" total length. The blade is soaked/scrubbed in white vinegar repeatedly for an antiqued finish. The
 guard and pommel are forge piened wrought iron and deeply etched. The tang goes straight through the
 pommel and is piened over and etched. The handle is stabilized Cherry Burl wood with black spacers.
 I set my initials in the pommel end of the handle since there is no place to do the chemical etch on the
blade. The knife comes with a tooled leather belt sheath with a snake skin inlay.
